Lilith - The Female Demon
While many of the stories that revolve around Lilith, the female demon have differing facts, they also have facts in common. Lilith was said to be a demon of the night, who would fly around in search of newborn children. Most stories go when she'd find them, she'd kidnap them and strangle them to death. In addition, in most legends of Lilith, she is a sexually promiscuous demon, who sleeps with men in order to bear them demon sons.
One popular story of Lilith, the female demon, says that when God created Adam, he created Lilith as his twin, joining them together at their backs. In this legend of the female demon, Lilith demanded to be equal with Adam, failing to ever achieve equality. Lilith leaves Adam, angering him deeply. After she left Adam, Lilith had intercourse with Satan, bearing him a demonic son, Djinni. Another Legend of Lilith the female demon is similar, but not exactly the same. In this story, Lilith is Adam's first wife, who was presented to him before the creation of Eve. In this story, Adam married Lilith because he grew tired of having sex with animals. When Adam tried to force Lilith to have sex with him, with her on bottom, she refused and left Adam to make her home by the Red Sea. This angered Adam, and he complained to God. Hearing Adam's complaint, God sent three angels to bring Lilith back to the garden of Eden. She refused, and cursed God's angels. She became a lover of demons, bearing over 100 demon babies a day. The angels told her God would take her demon babies from her if she did not go back to Adam, but she still refused. God took her demon babies, as He said He would, then created a docile Eve for Adam to wed. |
